Formworks Debuts Signature Chair At Innovative Washington D.C. Furnishings Retailer

Formworks, a limited production studio for contemporary furniture located in Cleveland, Ohio, is debuting its signature chair—a modern relaxed-fitting bent plywood chair with stainless steel springs— at Apartment Zero—an innovative new home furnishings and accessories store in Washington D.C.

Since its grand opening in October 1999, Apartment Zero has enchanted Washington’s most discriminating individuals and captured the attention of those in tune with contemporary, visual culture. Partners Douglas Burton and Christopher Ralston, own and manage the 2,700 square foot design emporium, considered to be the leading resource for cutting-edge 21st-century contemporary design.

We look for objects that are cleanly designed and minimal, and Formwork's Signature Chair is a perfect fit for us, says Burton. It’s visually inspiring and functional, and what’s more it's customizable in a variety of materials and finishes. The Formwork’s Chair helps stimulate the buying experience for our customers. Its presence helps us promote the idea that anything's possible.
