WOLF FURNITURE OPENS LANCASTER SHOWROOM
For residents of central Pennsylvania, another former Hechinger location has been transformed into a sparkling new retail facility. The Lancaster site, located on Bennett Avenue off Route 30, reopened its doors today as Wolf Furniture, a family-owned home furnishings retailer with eight locations in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Leased by JBG Rosenfeld Retail, a shopping center management, leasing, and development company based in Bethesda, Maryland, the Lancaster location is one of three former Hechinger sites in central Pennsylvania to which JBGR has given new life. Earlier this summer, household superstore Linens 'n Things and Michael's Arts and Crafts opened at the Camp Hill site and, last October, when JBGR secured the lease with Wolf for Lancaster, they also sold the former Hechinger building on East Market Street in York to the furniture company. Wolf's York store opened in the first quarter of this year.
When we set out to find new tenants for these buildings, our objective was simple - find retailers that fill a need and have staying power in the community, said JBGR Principal Jim Garibaldi. Wolf Furniture, Linens 'n Things, and Michael's do both, as evidenced by their respective successes in other parts of Pennsylvania and across the country. We look forward to their continued success at these properties.
Located at the intersection of Routes 30 and 741 in Lancaster, the newest Wolf Furniture showroom encompasses 60,000 square feet of space. The company, which is based in Altoona, Pennsylvania, has served the residents of Pennsylvania since 1902, and continues to offer a large selection of merchandise at low prices, with guarantees of satisfaction, free interior design, and professional delivery services. Some of the brands Wolf carries include Action Lane, Broyhill, Hooker, Kincaid, Lexington, Pennsylvania House, Sealy, and Vaughan, among others.
