BOSCH LAUNCHES LINE OF SMALL APPLIANCES AT INTERNATIONAL HOUSEWARES SHOW

Bosch, a leading manufacturer of high-end home appliances known for superior innovation and engineering, announced today the launch of its new line of small appliances, designed to bring these hallmarks of Bosch quality to the small appliance market.

Making its debut at the International Housewares Show, the line features the powerful and versatile new MUM series of kitchen machines; the sleek and modern Porsche Designer Series which includes a coffee maker, citrus juicer and blender; and the Ultra and CompactPlus lines of canister-style vacuum cleaners that combine remarkable efficiency with whisper quiet performance.

Completing the product offerings, Bosch’s new line will also include a variety of steam irons, coffee makers, coffee grinders and upright vacuums.

Bosch is respected worldwide for its large domestic appliances, said Hans-Peter Haase, president and CEO of Bosch. We are extending that expertise into a new range of kitchen products because today’s consumers demand high quality and strong value. This is precisely what Bosch offers with our new line of exceptionally designed small appliances.

MUM Series of Powerful, Practical Kitchen Machines Capitalizing on more than 50 years of expertise, Bosch offers a new series of kitchen machines whose simple operation belies their versatility, handling everything from blending, mixing and kneading to slicing, chopping and food processing with great ease. The top-of-the-line flagship model, the MUM7, features a 700 watt motor, six-quart stainless steel bowl, twin beating whisks and a dough hook. A unique four-in-one mono-drive system provides for simple and quiet operation, and accessories lock in place with a single twist. With a motor base only four inches high, the machine is compact and designed for easy storage.

Porsche Designer Series Combines Sophisticated Design with Functionality Elegant lines, strict engineering standards and modern brushed aluminum exteriors yield flawless aesthetics and optimum performance in Bosch’s new collection of Porsche-designed appliances. The eight-cup coffee maker has a stainless steel heating element and a special heating system to preserve flavor and produce coffeehouse-quality coffee. The double shell thermal carafe warms coffee for hours without scorching.

A companion to the coffee maker, the Porsche blender has a powerful 450-watt motor and stainless steel blades to blend nearly every ingredient perfectly and effortlessly. With a modern European look, it has a six-cup capacity.

Also housed in a brushed aluminum outer casing, the new Porsche citrus juicer features a patented, high-speed centrifugal system for maximum juice extraction and quiet, efficient operation. The design incorporates a pour spout that delivers juice directly into the glass, eliminating waste.

Ultra Vacuum Cleaner Has High-Power, Quiet Operation In addition to the small kitchen appliances, Bosch is extending its engineering and manufacturing capabilities to other domestic products, including the Ultra and CompactPlus families of vacuum cleaners, and a full line of high-quality steam irons. The top-of-the-line model in the new canister-style vacuum cleaners is the Ultra, featuring a 12-amp motor and a 13-inch power head that pulls even the most stubborn dirt from carpets, floors and drapes.

A patented noise-suppressing design ensures quiet operation, and a charcoal/HEPA filter minimizes environmental irritants. The Ultra includes crevice and upholstery tools and a furniture brush, as well as a 30-foot electrical rewind cord and a fingertip remote control.
