HAWTHORN HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING RECEIVES HIGHEST BUSINESS HONOR
Hawthorn Heating & Air Conditioning has received the highest
business honor bestowed by Carrier Corporation on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning dealerships –
the Carrier Distinguished Dealer award. As a 2001 CDD recipient, Hawthorn Heating & Air
Conditioning joins the elite ranks of a mere 58 dealerships nationwide that have been recognized for
excellence in business by Carrier, the world’s largest manufacturer of heating and cooling equipment, since
the award program’s inception in 1994.
Each year Carrier seeks to find those select businesses out of the
4,000 Carrier dealers across North America who demonstrate exemplary and optimal customer service
within a business framework poised for continued success.
Out of the hundreds of Carrier dealerships who engage in the CDD process each year, only a select few,
such as Hawthorn Heating & Air Conditioning, receive the distinction of being recognized as a Carrier
Distinguished Dealer. Dealerships that receive CDD recognition are clearly the ones driving the HVAC
industry and exceeding customer expectations, says Bill Stewart, CDD Program Directory.
Hawthorn
Heating & Air Conditioning is a high caliber company with a staff that listens to customers’ comfort issues,
assesses the options that are available, and then responds in a way that best fulfills the customers’ needs –
and they do so consistently.
Hawthorn Heating & Air Conditioning was established in 1986 by Scott Vanderwiel, President, and Patrick
Monson, Vice President. The main business focus is on the HVAC custom home market where Hawthorn’s
success is attributable to consistently putting the builder first. In addition, Hawthorn realizes that the service
industry is one of the fastest growing areas of the economy and is becoming an increasingly significant
player in the market. In 1995, Hawthorn merged with another firm specializing in hydronics, service, and new
construction.
Forty-one employees work within the firm. Hawthorn operates its own fully automated sheet
metal shop and is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce. Hawthorn also is involved with the Carrier
Dealer Alliance and the National Health House approved by the American Lung Association.
The business
also works with the nonprofit organization Habitat for Humanity.
The entire staff of Hawthorn Heating & Air Conditioning is delighted about being selected to receive this
award from Carrier Corporation, says Scott Vanderwiel, company founder and president.
A tremendous
amount of effort and hard work has gone into building this company over the last 15 years. To have it
culminate in Carrier’s recognition of our business operations and in recognition of our customer commitment
is truly an achievement we are proud of.
